About the ACS assessment
The ACS assessment score is a benchmark, within the Security Industry Authority (SIA) Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS), against a specific set of criteria. These top-performing companies are expected to score within a particular range on the ACS scheme, demonstrating high levels of performance and adherence to best practices in private security.
The voluntary quality assurance process assesses companies against a large number of stringent performance indicators across seven main headings: strategy, service-delivery, commercial relationship management, financial management, resources, people and leadership.
The ACS scheme aims to raise performance standards in the industry and to support the
commercial security sector in developing new opportunities.
Celebrating our success… 11% score increase!
Having achieved an increase of 12% in scoring last year, we are delighted to announce that, this year, we have achieved another 11% increase over the last 12 months since our last audit in 2024. Our score is over 35% higher than the average for a private security company of our size in the UK and places us in the top 5% to 10% of the UK’s approved private contractors.
This is especially impressive as this year’s assessment looks at our company which, during a period of growth, has continued to make improved standards a priority.
We have doubled our professional guarding service and have exceeded our target value for mobile patrol and response. 4 Site Security has increased turnover by 26.61%, while our clients and colleagues remain very satisfied with client retention figures at just over 98%, customer satisfaction figures at 96% average (against a 90% target), and employee retention at 98%. This fantastic performance has indeed outweighed expectation.
Thanks must go to the hard work of our teams, managers and colleagues on the front line, along with huge credit to our business development team who have outperformed in terms of bringing in new business and creating organic growth. Everyone, from every department, in 4 Site Security must be congratulated for their input to this critical success. Everyone has truly put themselves fully behind the company values of Support, Integrity, Trust and Excellence.

Building on the learning from our last audit, these are some of the measures that were put
in place and which made a significant contribution to our continued performance
improvement outcomes:
A Health and Safety Committee was established which meets quarterly to assess site-based H&S, near misses, incident trends, mental health, and much more.
The 4 Site Hub has transformed our induction, on-boarding and personal development plans for all colleagues. We believe that investing in this platform will be a huge support for our people performance and development with the continual refreshing of policy, training, and knowledge testing. The e-learning platform is updated where possible with interactive videos and new resources.
Cross departmental management training now ensures that knowledge is shared and supports succession planning. This will continue through 2025.
Each department is empowered and involved in the strategic direction of the company through the creation of departmental SWOT, risk and opportunities and action plans which result in the co-creation of the business plan
